Innovating Phytotherapy for Animal Health

Our Story

Daskdan Innovations, founded in 2020, is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. We believe that the human race is facing a critical threat due to its reliance on medically essential drugs for food-producing animals. Despite ongoing concerns about the misuse of these drugs, the issue remains largely unaddressed. Daskdan is dedicated to providing innovative, plant-based solutions for animal health that address this pressing problem. Our next-generation approach aims to promote responsible and sustainable animal agriculture, ultimately benefitting both farmers and consumers. We have been successful in raising more than 100,000 USD in Pre-seed grants to support our proof-of-concept development.

OUR FOCUS

At the core of our focus is phytotherapy, the use of plants and plant-based compounds for medicinal purposes. Our approach utilizes the vast potential of the Himalayan Flora, which is estimated to be 25,000 species, accounting for 10% of the total known species worldwide and 50% of the endemic flora of India. Of these, more than 1200 are classified as medicinal in nature, and have been used for centuries in traditional practices such as Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our goal is to harness the power of this rich natural resource to deliver next-generation plant-based solutions for animal health, promoting responsible and sustainable animal agriculture for the benefit of all.

Our Technology

Our flagship technology, aCAP (Advanced Computer Aided Phytotherapy) is a revolutionary approach that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to help us identify and repurpose plants or plant parts for therapeutics in the animal industry. aCAP allows us to develop next-generation nutraceuticals and herbal alternatives to chemicals, including antibiotics. By using targeted and data-driven recommendations provided by aCAP, our R&D team can deliver sustainable and effective plant-based nutraceuticals and other products to improve animal health. By implementing aCAP, we help farmers replace chemicals in animal feed with plant-based alternatives, promoting responsible and sustainable animal agriculture. Additionally, meat produced using our products not only improves the quality and safety for consumers.

Focus Segment

At Daskdan, we are exclusively focusing on the poultry industry. We have created an extensive disease module and target identification pipeline for poultry birds in aCAP, which covers over 100 diseases including metabolic disorders. Our in-house phyto-compound library and these modules enable us to identify and choose the most promising plants for developing sustainable and effective plant-based natural products for poultry. Our goal is to provide poultry farmers with safer and more sustainable solutions for disease prevention and treatment. Poultry farming is a critical component of global food security, with billions of birds being raised for food every year. By providing a natural alternative to traditional treatments, we aim to make a significant impact in the industry and help ensure a sustainable and healthy food supply for future generations.
